Celebrating Book Week

Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Members

Last week we celebrated Book Week and ended the week with our annual Book Week Dress-Up Parade. Well done to all students for your amazing efforts in dressing up, there was such a great range of characters. In the afternoon we buddied up older and younger classes and had a school treasure hunt, looking for clues around the school. It was a great day for all! Thank you parents for your efforts and support.

On Wednesday 15 September we are having our open night Learning Journey. Parents and family are invited to come to school between 4 and 6pm with their child/ren to visit their child’s class and specialist classes to see the wonderful things they have been learning this year. The P&C will have a sausage sizzle, drinks and a pop-up café. Families will be able to purchase on the night. We look forward to seeing all families at this event.

Next Thursday, 9 September, our school choir will be performing at the Great Southern Primary Schools Music Festival. Students have been working hard preparing for this event and we wish them all the best with their performance. Thank you to Mrs Grosshans for all your work teaching our choir students.

On Monday our Year 6 students are off to Camp Quaranup for their camp. Students are looking forward to this event, where they will engage in a range of team building activities and games. We wish you all a fantastic time!

Today the Kindy to Year 2 students were entertained by the WA Symphony Orchestra. The had a wonderful time learning about instruments and hearing some amazing music. Thank you WASO for visiting our school!

A reminder our next assembly will be hosted by Rm 22 on Friday 10 September. We look forward to seeing you there.

Kind regards Gemma Larham
