From the Principal

Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Members

Welcome back to Term 4, I hope you all had a relaxing break and are ready for our final term this year. This term we have many fun and important events including our House Athletics Carnival Week 2, Year 6 graduation Week 10, Pursuit of Excellence awards and transition for our junior school and 2024 Kindy students.

The House Athletics Carnival is next week, Wednesday 18 October. The P&C will be holding a cake stall and would appreciate any donations for this. The P&C will be sending out a link for people to donate items to sell. There will not be a sausage sizzle at the carnival, so please ensure your children have a packed recess and lunch on this day. Students will also need a water bottle, sunscreen, hat and house shirt. Students will still have the opportunity to eat with their parents during the lunch break.

As part of continually striving to improve as a school, we are seeking parent feedback on how our school supports students and parents in a range of areas. Next week a survey will be sent home for all families to complete. This survey is known as the Parent National School Opinion Survey. Your opinion is important to us and we ask that you participate in this survey and return it to the school administration office by Friday 27 October. This survey is confidential. If you would prefer to complete this survey online, there is a link on the front page of the survey, which will also be sent to parents via connect. We look forward to receiving your feedback.

A reminder that as we are now in Term 4, students are required to wear a green bucket or broad brim hat during outside activities and breaks. If students do not have a hat, they will need to remain in the shade. Hats are available at the uniform shop for $15. Please ensure your child’s hat is labelled with their name.

Thank you to all families who have supported our Telethon Ambassadors this year, their final fundraisier is today with a hot dog and PJ day. They will provide us an update with the amount raised this year in the next newsletter. Miss Scott and the Ambassadors, Annelise, Ivy, Kaja and Alyssa will be attending Telethon on the 21 and 22 October to present our school donation and we wish them all the best.

Congratulations to Miss Norman in Room 25 who was married on the holidays. We wish you and your husband a wonderful life together!

Our next assembly is Friday 20 October. All families are welcome to attend.

Kind regards Gemma Larham
