From the Principal

Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Members

We had a fabulous night on Tuesday with our Learning Journey open night. It was wonderful to see so many families at this event, completing activities with their children and reflecting on their child’s achievements so far this year. Thanks to everyone who came along, it was a great evening.

Yesterday our choir students performed at the Great Southern Schools Music Festival. I was so proud of how well our students performed and the exemplary behaviour they exhibited through out the rehearsal and evening, they were shining stars! Well done choir students. A big thank you to Mrs Grosshans for all her work and dedication to the choir and thank you to Glenn, Mrs Williams, Mrs Norman, Mrs Drew and Mrs Tierney for helping with the event. We appreciate all your efforts and support.

Next Tuesday is the K-6 P&C Disco, 5 to 7pm. To purchase a ticket, please return the note sent home this week with the payment to the office by Monday 16 September. The Telethon Ambassadors will be selling pizza slices and the P&C will be selling glow products, snacks and drinks. Money raised will go towards our new playground.

As our PBS reward for getting over 10 000 turtle tickets, we had a crazy hair day today. Students looked fantastic with their coloured and decorated hair styles. We also had a special mini assembly where teachers had their hair coloured by the student councillors as part of our reward for raising over $20 000 in the Fun Run. It was lots of fun!

Our final assembly for the Term will be Friday Week 10 and hosted by Room 12. All families are welcome to come along. Students commence Term 4 on Monday 7 October. The pupil free day will be Friday 8 November.

Have a fantastic holiday break, and we look forward to seeing you all next Term.

Kind regards—Gemma Larham | Principal
