From the Principal

Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Members

Last week we celebrated Book Week with lots of activities to build the love of reading. Throughout the week classes buddied up and read together and these buddies then worked together on Friday to complete the Book Week treasure hunt.

We had our annual Book Week Dress Up Day on Friday and students looked awesome, thank you to all students for your efforts to dress up and be part of our parade. We had some great Book Nooks created by students for our library and they look amazing. Well done to everyone for your creativity and hard work.

SAVE THE DATE!

On Tuesday 10 September we are having our Learning Journey open night. Parents and family members are invited to come to school between 4pm and 6pm with their students to visit their child’s class and specialist classes to see the wonderful things they have been learning this year.

The Telethon Ambassadors will have a sausage sizzle and drinks which families will be able to purchase on the night. We look forward to seeing all families at this event.

In Week 9 our choir students will be performing at the Schools Music Festival. Students have been working hard with Mrs Grosshans to learn the songs they will be performing and we wish them all the best of luck on the night. Please see the note sent home by Mrs Grosshans for more details.

Our next assembly will be on Friday 6 September, hosted by Room 35. We look forward to seeing families at this event.

Have a great weekend!

Kind regards — Gemma Larham
