Thank you to all students who participated in The City of Albany Christmas Pageant on the weekend. We had over 50 students and staff representing Yakamia and they looked wonderful their gingerbread themed outfits.

Last week the government announced a ban of eRideables at school. This ban has been instructed from the Department of Education and aligns with the road safety laws. This ban will commence on Monday 2 February 2026.

Please note eRideables and eBikes are also not to be used on school grounds by parents/carers and people over the age of 16. If parents/carers and people over 16 use an eRideable and eBike to visit/attend the school, they are to park it safely at the back of the administration office building, provided they comply with all relevant laws, and are not ride it on school grounds or school paths whilst attending the school.

If you require further information, please see the Road Safety Commission website for information on eRideable and eBike laws, penalties, buying guides and safety. Thank you for your support.

Our staff value working together with parents and families as partners in student learning and in providing quality education to all students. We look forward to continuing these relationships and partnerships next year. I would also like to congratulate all students for their efforts and working hard to learn and achieve personal goals. It has been wonderful to see the personal gains students have made over the year.
