Dear Parents, Carers and Community Members,
As a school we are focused on building a positive school culture of belonging and having strong trusting relationships. To support us in achieving this we are using a restorative approach across our whole school community. This includes approach includes explicitly teaching our students strategies to have the right language to communicate with others, understand their feelings and to deal with problems that arise at times.
Working in partnership with parents and carers to support children’s development is fundamental in building a restorative school.
To support this partnership with families, our Real Schools facilitator Candice Brown will be providing a parent information session on Monday 16 June 5pm to 6pm in the library for all parents/carers to attend and find out more about ‘building resilience in your child’, and what strategies can be used at home to support this.
All parents and carers are invited to this session which will be held in the library and we will have care available in the hall for children if required.
We will also have a free sausage sizzle and drink for all parents, carers and children who attend. Please call the office if you wish to attend and have not yet sent in your RSVP.
We look forward to seeing you there!
