P & C Association

The Yakamia Primary School Parents & Citizens (P&C) Association is a vital part of our school community. Run entirely by volunteers, the P&C supports our school by providing additional resources, running events, and helping to create a welcoming, inclusive environment for students and families.

Our Purpose

The P&C works to:

• Foster cooperation between parents, teachers, students, and the wider community
• Support the school through fundraising and volunteer efforts
• Promote interest in public education and school activities

Throughout the year, the P&C runs a variety of fun and important fundraising events including:

• Easter Raffles
• Colour Runs
• Cake Stalls
• Mother’s & Father’s Day Raffles

These events directly benefit our students and rely on parent volunteers to succeed.

Uniform Shop

The Uniform Shop is proudly run by the P&C with the help of parent volunteers. It is located in the school hall and is open:

Fridays, 8:30am – 9:00am (Assembly days)

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The AGM is held every February, where we:

• Elect office bearers and executive members
• Invite nominations from parents and carers

New members are always welcome and will receive full support in any role they take on.

How You Can Get Involved

We warmly invite all parents, carers, and community members to participate in the P&C. You can:

• Attend meetings (held at least twice per term)
• Volunteer at events and fundraising activities

Whether you can give a little time or a lot, every contribution makes a difference.

Join the P&C

Becoming a member is easy and only costs $1.00 per year.

To join:

1. Complete the P&C Membership Form
2. Fill out the Volunteer Form
3. Email both to yakamia.pc@gmail.com
4. Pay your $1.00 membership fee directly to the P&C Treasurer
